The lab batch freezer is a fully welded state of the art freezer that has the capability of step cooling, steady-state cooling, and data logging. The freezer utilizes 3 RTD’s, which provide data on the following points of measurement: 

1. Measurement of the box temperature 
2. Measurement of the product  core temperature
3. Measurement of the surface temperature

The freezer can be controlled by any of the RTD’s to ensure that the desired final temperature is reached.  The unit is controlled by an Allen Bradley Compactlogix PLC which has the capability to log all variables of interest and save the data file to a USB. The freezing compartment can be customized to hold any container. West Coast Cryogenic’s also offers validation assistance and will work with your team to meet specific needs.
