Dry Ice (Snow) Generators

The West Coast Cryogenics Inc. Snow Generating System produces CO2 snow (a soft form of dry ice particles) for filling insulated bins. We safely control this by having inputs for room monitor and interlocks that will prevent the bin from being overfilled by not allowing back to back injections on the same bin. The HMI has a programmed set point so the bin will be automatically filled to the top or half way. All the CO2 exhaust is safely removed from the cabinet to prevent high levels of CO2 in a production room. Operators can walk away from the unit knowing the bin will be filled safely.

CO2 snow emerges from a bank of snow horns at a temperature of -109°F and slightly above atmospheric pressure. It includes a stainless steel enclosure with interlocked doors to ensure safe operation while inserting and removing bins. A bin-centering frame will assist with proper bin alignment.  A bank of specially designed snow horns are mounted to the top of the enclosure. Liquid CO2 is piped to the system at approximately 0° F and 300 psig. Once filled, the insulated bins can be transported to their use point.
